| Job Description: | Under the direction of the Innovation Station Regional Director, design and deliver mutually beneficial programs between the UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering and Sarasota region citizens, industry and academic collaborators focused on workforce development. These will include as examples working with the regional private, public and academic sectors to establish training opportunities through UF offerings as well as outreach at local institutions to the community’s citizens, establishing avenues for regional companies to engage in engineering design programs offered by UF on its Gainesville campus, and providing means to regional entrepreneurs, companies and executives to engage with UF College of Engineering students, faculty and academic offerings online, on the Gainesville campus, and at regional companies. |

| Preferred: | The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive, organized, diplomatic, persuasive, collaborative, and results-oriented. Strong relationship-building, communication, project management, networking, and problem-solving skills are essential. The individual must be comfortable engaging with executives, engineers, hiring managers, students, faculty, and university leadership, as well as leading technical and workforce-development discussions across industry and higher education environments. Candidates should understand engineering disciplines and their connections to industry, as well as the culture and expectations of higher education, including accreditation and student learning outcomes. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, independent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, communications, deadlines, and follow-up activities are required. Proficiency with Microsoft and Adobe applications is also expected. Prefer Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in engineering including computer science and information technology, academic administration or appropriate field, along with two or more years of appropriate work experience in engineering fields including computer science and information technology or academic administration. |
