SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of classroom teachers, education technicians provide individualized instruction to students with learning deficiencies. The Education Technicians comply with the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLBA) and the State of California Academic Standards, and perform other duties related to academic achievement as may be assigned.
Education Technicians are not allowed to instruct the class in place of the teacher, nor do they copy work during instruction time. Education Technicians are to assist classroom teachers to ensure students are on task with their assigned class work. Education Technicians may also have supervisory duties assigned to them outside of the classroom. The Education Technician should be adequately proficient in the use of technology and must have at least 60 units of college credit.
