    Description

    The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico''s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The CDD Information Network is seeking a full-time Education Specialist to support the activities of the Information Network programs resources and training to include facilitating the collaboration of New Mexico stakeholders, identifying, prioritizing, and populating New Mexico-specific content within multiple databases. The position''s responsibilities include updating databases to maintain current information, developing educational materials for dissemination, collecting and reporting data, providing outreach, presentations and training to New Mexicans. The Education Specialist is responsible for responding to in-person and telephone requests for information, to include certification in Information and Referral regarding disability-related community resources. This position requires occasional statewide travel.
