Reports to: Program Director Supervises: Education & OST Specialist ÂBrilliant Detroit Overview In 2016 Brilliant Detroit was created to provide a radically new approach to kindergarten readiness in neighborhoods. The idea was to create a unique delivery model in our approach to early childhood development by using underutilized housing stock to create early child and family centers in neighborhoods. Brilliant Detroit homes provide holistic services for kids 0-8 predicated on evidence-based programs around health, family support, and education. Brilliant Detroit was born to create kid success neighborhoods. Today, in each location, neighbors come together for fellowship, activities and learning to assure school readiness, and provide needed support for families. ÂJob Summary This position will lead on all education and out of school time programming to ensure mission alignment. The position will plan, coordinate, and manage the creation and delivery of high-quality programs for all Brilliant Detroit hubs. This includes oversight of several key programs in the portfolio including all High Dosage Tutoring, after school and family literacy programs.  ÂThe Education and Out of School Time (OST) Manager provides leadership for the development, management, and delivery of programs, with support from other BD team members and community partners that have experience, capacity, knowledge, and relationships. The Manager is a member of the Program team, where they will provide additional training, program management, and other activities in support of Brilliant’s mission. ÂThe position will also manage facilitators, contractors and coordinators under the pillar. Program department’s day-to-day operations in the education pillar. An ideal candidate must work well with multiple stakeholders and be able to work in a fast paced environment. The Education and OST Manager will report to the Program Director and be a critical member of the Program department. ÂResponsibilitiesÂ
