    Education Faculty Member

    Wisconsin Lutheran Colleges School of Education seeks candidates for a faculty position that will begin July 1, 2027. Teaching responsibilities may include introductory through advanced EDU courses. A typical teaching load for the professor track is 24 credits per year while appointments in the lecturer track are 30 credits per year.

    This position requires a minimum of a masters degree in education. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about the field of education and committed to preparing future teachers within the context of Christian higher education.

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong record of both teaching and leadership. Teaching responsibilities may include a range of courses, with a particular emphasis on literacy, including instruction aligned with Act 20 requirements and preparation for the Foundations of Reading test. Experience in the following areas is preferred:

    • Professional learning communities (PLCs)
    • Teacher supervision and professional growth
    • Curriculum development

    In addition to teaching, candidates are expected to serve on academic committees and be actively engaged in their church or broader community.

    Candidates must be an active member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS), or another confessional Lutheran denomination in fellowship with the WELS.
