We are seeking an Educational Consultant 4 within the Office of Assessments, Accountability, and Analytics to lead major statewide birth-12 accountability initiatives. This role oversees the development and execution of accountability policies, reporting structures, and program operations while collaborating with internal divisions, school systems, vendors, researchers, and policymakers to ensure successful implementation. This role serves as a subject matter expert on accountability policy and practice, translating complex data, research, and legislative requirements into actionable strategies that support schools and inform statewide decision-making. The ideal candidate is skilled at managing large-scale initiatives, building cross-functional partnerships, and balancing policy vision with operational execution.
Minimum Qualifications
Eight years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience plus five years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR
A bachelors degree plus five years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus four years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services.

Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule:Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Note regarding the advertised pay range:The Education Consultant series has a special entrance rate (SER) of $31.25 hourly, $2,500 biweekly that is above the minimum hire rate for these positions.The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
