Position Statement Under the direction of the Director of Education and in coordination with the other education staff, the education assistant supports the educational instructors in the planning, coordination and implementation of all educational activities appropriate to the continuing growth and development of all staff members. Key Responsibilities: Assists educational instructors with preparations for upcoming educational programs. Maintains electronic educational system. Assigns yearly and supplemental training. Runs reports periodically and per request. Coordinates traveler and new employee orientations. Manages the AHA Training Center with oversight from Director. Coordinates all local training and instructors to include mandated paperwork. Communicates using a variety of methods to ensure smooth delivery and reception of information. Manages job shadow, students, and medical interns with oversight from Director. Coordinates and facilitates all these orientations to include all the local HS students. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years physicians office employment as secretary or scheduler/receptionist, highly desirable. Medical Terminology highly recommended. Able to greet and interact with staff and physicians in a tactful, cheerful manner. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

    Founded in 1919 by a group of area citizens, Orleans Country Memorial Hospital opened in 1924, the present North Country Hospital, opened in 1974.
