Job Description:

Under immediate supervision of certified teaching staff, subject specialists or Program Director of the school and/or physical therapist. Performs work of moderate difficulty assisting in the structured education of students with special needs within a regular classroom setting. Assignment may be with severely multiply impaired students of any grade level.

Hiring Pay Range:

EA Inclusion: $19.81 - $21.03 per hour, DOE

CARE Activity Leader: $16.26 - $17.26 per hour, DOE

FTE: COMBINED FTE 1.0 (40 hours per week)

EA Inclusion: .875 FET (35 hours per week) Monday - Friday: 7:45 am - 3:15 pm (includes 30 minute unpaid meal break)

CARE Activity Leader: .125 FTE (5 hours per week) Monday/Thursday: 3:15 pm - 4:45 pm; Tuesday: 3:15 pm - 5:15 pm

Minimum Qualifications Preferred: Associates degree preferred and six (6) months of experience working with children that have special needs.

Special Requirements: Must possess or have the ability to obtain Level I-IVPP Fingerprint Clearance card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety; CPR certificate and First Aid certificate are required within one (1) year of hire; must be willing to support feeding and toileting of students, with training.
