    Summary

    The Education Abroad and IPP Engagement Coordinator supports the universitys international education goals through education abroad advising, partnership and agreement administration, and the development of programs and events that enhance global engagement across campus. The coordinator serves as a primary resource for students pursuing international opportunities, assists with the management of international agreements and partner relationships, and coordinates events that promote intercultural learning, international education, and global engagement.

    Essential Functions

    Education Abroad Advising and Student Support

    • Advise prospective and participating students regarding education abroad opportunities, application processes, program selection, financial aid considerations, and pre-departure requirements.
    • Assist students in identifying programs that align with academic, career, and personal goals.
    • Review and process education abroad applications and supporting documentation.
    • Coordinate student outreach and recruitment efforts to increase participation in education abroad programs.
    • Conduct individual advising appointments, classroom presentations, information sessions, and orientation programs.
    • Support risk management, health and safety protocols, and participant compliance requirements.
    • Maintain accurate student records and data within institutional databases and education abroad management systems.

    International Agreements and Partnerships

    • Support the development, execution, renewal, and maintenance of international partnership agreements, including memoranda of understanding (MOUs), exchange agreements, and other collaborative arrangements.
    • Maintain the universitys database of international agreements and partnership records.
    • Monitor agreement renewal timelines and communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding required updates.
    • Assist in coordinating communication with international partner institutions.
    • Assist with tracking partnership activities and prepare reports on partnership outcomes and engagement.
    • Collaborate with academic departments and administrative units to support partner-related initiatives and exchanges

    Event Programming

    • Alongside Assistant Director, plan, coordinate, and implement educational, cultural, and engagement programs that support international efforts.
    • Coordinate logistics for workshops, orientations, receptions, awareness campaigns, study abroad fairs, and international education events.
    • Collaborate with campus partners, student organizations, faculty, and community stakeholders to develop engaging programming.
    • Promote events through marketing, social media, web content, and communication campaigns.
    • Manage event registration, participant communications, facilities reservations, vendors, and budget tracking.
    • Evaluate program outcomes and prepare assessment reports to support continuous improvement.

    Administrative Support and Assessment

    • Collect, analyze, and report data related to education abroad participation, partnership activity, and engagement programming.
    • Assist with departmental communications, website updates, publications, and promotional materials.
    • Support strategic initiatives and special projects related to international education and global engagement.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities and represent the office at institutional events and professional conferences as appropriate.

    Minimum Qualifications

    The following Degree is required:

    • Bachelors Degree.

    The following Experience is required:

    • 1 year of Higher Education experience advising education abroad students

    The following Minimum Qualifications are preferred:

    • Bachelors or Masters Degree in International Studies, Higher Education Leadership, Cultural Studies/Language, College Student Personnel, Management, Marketing.

    Additional Information

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Evidence of knowledge of education abroad student advising and experience working with the Terra Dotta database.
