    Night EDM Operator
    Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
    Shift: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
    Pay: Competitive, based on experience
    Job Summary
    We are seeking a Night EDM Operator to join our manufacturing team in Buffalo Grove, IL. This role is responsible for setting up and operating wire and sinker EDM machines to produce high-quality tooling and precision components. The ideal candidate will have EDM and CNC machining experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to inspect finished parts while maintaining production efficiency and quality standards.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Set up and operate wire and sinker EDM machines.
    • Create and utilize fixtures to ensure accurate machine setups.
    • Inspect and document finished parts to verify quality and conformance to specifications.
    • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
    • Perform preventive maintenance on EDM equipment.
    • Maintain machine uptime and ensure production schedules are met.
    • Use common hand tools and inspection gauges to verify part accuracy.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the EDM department.
    Qualifications
    • 1-3 years of wire and sinker EDM setup and operation experience required.
    • Experience operating CNC machines and managing multiple machines simultaneously.
    • Working knowledge of common hand tools and precision inspection gauges.
    • General tooling and machine shop experience preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
    • Ability to work independently on an evening shift schedule.
