    Editor | Digital Content Strategist

    Youth Villages is seeking acontentstrategist andeditor to join our Digital Communications Department. This role willbe responsible forcreating,editingand managing high-quality content across various mediums,helping toensureall messaging aligns with Youth Villages’ mission and engages its diverse audiences. This role will also require collaboration with stakeholders across departments toprovidecohesive and effective communications for Youth Villages and its sub-brands,whichincludeMemphis Allies and Janie’s Fund.

    Key Duties and Responsibility:

    The Editor | Digital Content Strategist:

    • Writes, edits,proofreadsandoptimizesengaging content for digital campaigns, social media, marketing materials, print collateral, websites, blogs, landing pages and newsletters, ensuring clarity,consistency andalignment with brand tone and style.

    • Optimizescontent for search engines by applyingSEObest practices, including keywordresearchand creating compelling headlines.

    • Serves as the primary editor for the Communications Department, ensuring content accuracy, consistency and alignment with brand guidelines and AP style.

    • Regularly reviews and updates website content to ensure all information and references areaccurateand current.

    • Collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to produce cohesive messaging for Youth Villages, MemphisAlliesand Janie’s Fund.

    • Writes campaign briefs and produces allcopyfor integrated marketing campaigns.

    • Conducts research andfact-checkingto ensure content isaccurate,impactfuland relevant to target audiences.

    • Monitors industry trends and emerging technologies to keep content strategies fresh and innovative.

    • Assistswithadditionalcontent creation and editingduties asassigned by the manager.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism,Marketingor a related field.

    • 3-5 years of professional experience in writing,editingor digital content roles.

    • Exceptional editorial ability, editing content not only for grammar/punctuation/spelling,but also for overall style,toneand formatting. Manging content across digital and print platforms.

    • Expertisein APstyle; familiarity with SEO best practices is essential.

    • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with digital analytics tools is a plus (inCopy).

    • Experience developing and executing content strategies that align with organizational goals.

    • Strong project management skills witha track recordof balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    • Self-motivated and adaptable to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
