Introduction
An EDI Architect is a senior IT professional responsible for designing, implementing, and managing EDI system integrations. These systems enable businesses to electronically exchange critical documents — such as invoices, purchase orders, and shipping notices — with partners, suppliers, and customers. The manager is looking for someone who can handle the full scope of EDI architecture, rather than just mapping or conversion experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with EDI mapping tools, ANSI X12, EDIFACT, UNIX, LINUX, Windows, SQL Server, MQ Series
- 5 years of experience with Enterprise Application Integration, middleware, or other integration experience
- 5 years of experience with architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, UML diagrams, network connectivity and communication protocols
- 5 years of experience in a wide range of business areas of supply chain management including system development, business intelligence, business processes, and customer relations
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with web and mainframe applications
- Mainframe Systems experience
- Experience with GCP, Unix, Network Protocols & Standards, Session Initiation Protocols
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Responsible for application design, installation, configuration, and development support activities for B2Bi, Web, and Mainframe applications
- Coordinate with related work streams/teams including infrastructure teams and manufacturing
- Perform systems tuning and diagnostics on UNIX, LINUX, and WINDOWS platforms
