ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading global financial institution is seeking a senior-level Credit Risk executive to lead coverage across Hedge Funds, Private Equity sponsors, and alternative asset managers within its Counterparty Credit platform. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity managing a team responsible for complex trading, financing, and structured credit exposures tied to sophisticated institutional counterparties.

Ideal for candidates with deep alternative investment credit expertise and prior approval authority experience within a major banking platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and oversee a North America-based credit team focused on hedge funds, private capital firms, and institutional asset managers
  • Manage credit underwriting, approvals, internal ratings, and exposure limits across a diverse alternatives portfolio
  • Evaluate counterparty risk tied to derivatives, securities financing, lending facilities, prime brokerage, and bespoke financing structures
  • Conduct detailed fundamental analysis of fund strategies, liquidity profiles, leverage metrics, operational infrastructure, and sponsor strength
  • Lead client due diligence meetings and maintain direct interaction with senior investment professionals and external counterparties
  • Partner with trading desks and risk partners to review complex transactions, margin methodologies, stress exposure scenarios, and risk mitigation structures
  • Oversee ongoing portfolio surveillance including NAV reviews, performance monitoring, concentration analysis, and escalation of emerging risks
  • Review and negotiate credit-related provisions tied to ISDA, CSA, Prime Brokerage, repo, and financing documentation
