    POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

    The ECMO Specialist participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive patient care services centered on extracorporeal therapies.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    Completion of University Health or another ELSO-based ECMO training program is preferred. Minimum 1 year of ECMO experience preferred. Degree preferred. Must have a minimum 2 years critical care experience (PICU, NICU, CICU, EC).  Must obtain BLS, PALS, ACLS and University Hospital System ECMO certifications within 6 months of hire.
