    Department: Pulmonary Diagnostics - Core ECMO Team

    Schedule: Night shift | Full-time | 3-12s

    How you'll make an impact in this role

    • Manage specialized life support: Operate extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) circuits and manage therapy according to physician orders to sustain critically ill patients.
    • Monitor circuit and pump performance: Continuously track pump functioning, safeguard circuit integrity and administer ordered blood products, medications and fluids to maintain physiological stability.
    • Optimize patient biochemistry: Evaluate anticoagulation status, electrolytes and blood-gas values in real time, making precise adjustments to maintain target clinical parameters.
    • Mentor future clinical experts: Precept and train incoming ECMO team members to foster clinical excellence, high safety standards and strong team cohesion.
    • Maintain detailed clinical records: Document complex patient parameters and clinical procedures accurately to ensure seamless continuity of care and compliant record-keeping.

    What minimum requirements you'll need

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    • One or more of the following:
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Department of State Health Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners

    Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

    • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for

    Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

    Education:

    • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate''s

    degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

    • Previous Pediatric ECMO Specialist experience strongly preferred.
    • Critical Care experience in a fast paced hospital setting
