DAVENPORT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 207 801 7 TH Street DAVENPORT , WA 99122 NOTICE OF POSITION V ACANCY Internal & External Posting Posting Date: Monday, September 21, 2026 Closing Date: 10:00am Monday, September 28, 2026 (internal) OR Open Until Filled POSITION TITLE : ECEAP Assistant/Instructional Paraprofessional DETAILS: This position will be 5 days a week with anticipated hours of 7:30AM to 3:00PM Duties may include: Assisting the ECEAP lead teacher in providing quality, comprehensive child development services to preschool children and their families and encouraging parental involvement in educational planning, goal setting and center activities. Acts as a support and resource person for families for the purpose of assisting the teacher in case managing specific needs with families, advocating for parents, and encouraging parent involvement in the program. Attends meetings and workshops (e.g. in-service, staffing, training, parent meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and gathering information required to perform functions and/or maintaining professional knowledge. Maintains classroom equipment, supplies, student records, (e.g.instructional materials, meal counts, attendance, fire safety checklist, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of items, providing reliable information, and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. Monitors students in a variety of educational settings (e.g. classroom, playground, field trips, nap times, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment. Provides set-up and service of meals and snacks for the purpose of meeting nutritional needs of students. Performs related duties as assigned. Related duties may not specifically be listed but are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employee's classification of work. o Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:applying pertinent policies, regulations, and laws, planning and managing activities, preparing and maintaining accurate records, and operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications. Knowledge is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and ratios, read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and present information to others, and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. o Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes:appropriate codes, policies, regulations, and laws, age appropriate activities, lesson plan requirements, community resources, and stages of child development. Ability is required to schedule activities, collate data, and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances, work with data utilizing defined and similar processes, and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and groups and work with similar types of data. In working with others, problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data may require independent interpretation. o Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: communicating with diverse groups, working with frequent interruptions, working as part of a team, adapting to changing work priorities, maintaining confidentiality, and having regular and reliable attendance. Work schedule will vary based upon student and classroom needs Other possible duties may include: o Working in variety of classrooms PK-12 o PK-12 SPED Student Support o Recess/lunch/safety patrol supervision o Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS : HS diploma or equivalent The equivalent of 12 college quarter credits in Early Childhood or a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential awarded by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition preferred or ability to obtain Maintain current CPR/first aid certification, maintain current WA DOH Food Worker Card Minimum of two years college course work OR passing of the paraprofessional competency test Strong & effective communication (written & verbal) skills Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail Prior successful experience working with children is preferred Flexibility and strong communication skills IMMEDIATE SUPERVISORS : Elementary & MS Principal APPLICATION PROCEDURE : Submit a letter of interest that addresses your specific qualifications and skills related to this job opening.
