Eastside Middle School seeking a motivated, dependable, and student-centered individual to serve as the Eastside Boys Middle School Assistant Basketball Coach. The assistant coach will work closely with the head coach to develop student-athletes both on and off the court by promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and a positive competitive experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach with planning and conducting practices.
- Teach and reinforce basketball fundamentals, game strategies, and sportsmanship.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities.
- Help organize and prepare equipment before and after practices and games.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
- Encourage academic success, good citizenship, and character development.
- Assist with game management, player evaluations, and team communication.
- Ensure compliance with school, district, and athletic association policies.
- Maintain appropriate communication with players, parents, school staff, and administration.
- Perform other coaching duties as assigned by the head coach or athletic director.
