The Learning Experience - Ashburn, VA
Pay: Starting at $19 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
The Learning Experience - Ashburn is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our Toddler/2-Year-Old classroom.
This is a great opportunity for an educator who loves the busy, curious, increasingly independent toddler years. You'll create a classroom filled with hands-on learning, language development, movement, creativity, and plenty of opportunities for children to practice new skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom for toddlers and 2-year-olds
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Plan developmentally appropriate activities through art, music, movement, sensory exploration, language, and play
- Support emerging independence, communication, and social-emotional development
- Use positive guidance and consistent classroom routines
- Support diapering, toileting, meals, and other daily care routines
- Observe and document children's development
- Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Follow Virginia licensing and center requirements
Qualifications
- Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom experience required
- Experience working with toddlers or 2-year-olds strongly preferred
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Dependable, patient, energetic, and comfortable working as part of a team
- Must meet Virginia licensing requirements for the position
