Join Home of Guiding Hands and help lead programs that support infants, children, and families through early intervention, developmental assessments, therapies, counseling, and life planning services.
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee multiple family-centered programs that help children reach developmental milestones, connect families with resources, and improve long-term outcomes. This role is responsible for operational performance, program growth, financial management, regulatory compliance, and team leadership across several specialized service areas.
This is not a direct service or clinical role. Success comes from leading managers and program leaders, building strong systems, improving performance, and ensuring families receive timely access to high-quality services.
Teams that support early intervention services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays
Therapy programs supporting young children and their families
Developmental assessments and evaluations
Life planning and support services for individuals and families
Counseling and specialty support programs
Lead and develop managers, supervisors, and program leaders
Oversee program operations, staffing, budgets, and performance metrics
Improve access to services and reduce wait times for families
Drive program growth and service utilization
Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards are met
Use data and reporting to improve operational and financial performance
Build partnerships with Regional Centers, community organizations, and stakeholders
Create systems that support long-term growth and operational excellence
Masters degree in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, Education, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience in healthcare, early intervention, human services, behavioral health, education, or community-based services
3+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors, managers, or program leaders
Experience managing budgets, operational performance, and organizational growth
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution
Lead programs that positively impact children and families

Home of Guiding Hands is a non-profit organization that was established in 1967 by a small group of dedicated and ambitious community members. The Mission of HGH is "to improve the lives of those we serve". We support children and adults in San Diego and Imperial Counties with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome, epilepsy, autism, and cerebral palsy. We provide a full continuum of care including residential care in specialized group homes, independent living support, respite care, and adult foster home services. Additionally, we provide early childhood assessments and services, tailored day support, Life Planning workshops, county-wide transportation services, and on-site activities at our resource center.
