TITLE: Preschool Special Education Teacher (Early Childhood Special Education Teacher)
QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Administrator of DECC Programs
LOCATION: Delaware Early Childhood Center and/or surrounding area
JOB GOALS: The Preschool Special Education teacher works collaboratively as a member of the Preschool Programs' team to implement high quality and holistic early education programming utilizing evidence-based curriculum and supports. Additionally, teacher serves as a consultant to families, school staff, and community programs to promote developmental growth and kindergarten readiness.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be willing to travel locally to provide educational services to students within their natural environments (home, community preschool/child care)
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is a full-time, 10 +1 year inclusive of 188 school days plus 19 additional days of employment during summer months. Salary is based off of the Lake Forest School District Teacher salary scale.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job shall be evaluated in accordance with policies approved by the Lake Forest Board of Education and Delaware Department of Education.
