    Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Intervention Specialist to join a supportive and collaborative early childhood special education program in Licking County, Ohio. This full-time contracted role serves the 2026 2027 school year and offers a competitive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), licensure reimbursement, and paid time off (PTO).

    This position involves leading an inclusive preschool classroom serving children with disabilities alongside typically developing peers. The ideal candidate is confident in early childhood special education, skilled in IEP development, and committed to creating a structured, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with Ohio s Early Learning Content Standards and individual student goals

    • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with fidelity

    • Use ongoing data collection and assessment to guide instruction and report student progress

    • Collaborate with families, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and school staff to support student success

    • Supervise and support paraprofessionals and classroom assistants to ensure effective daily classroom operations

    • Implement positive behavior supports and maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

    Qualifications

    • Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist (Early Childhood) license or eligibility

    • Strong understanding of early childhood development and special education practices

    • Experience with IEP development and data-driven instruction preferred

    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom leadership skills
