    DIRECT HIRE Early Childhood Educator / Childcare Teacher opportunities!

    The Early Childhood Educator / Childcare Teacher is responsible for all operations of the classroom including planning and implementing appropriate activities, ensuring children’s safety and well-being, maintaining a positive classroom environment and collaborating with staff and volunteers to provide high-quality child care.

    Essential Functions:

    • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
    • Plan and lead age-appropriate learning activities
    • Supervise children during classroom, outdoor, and program activities
    • Use positive behavior management techniques
    • Communicate effectively with families and staff
    • Maintain required assessments, lesson plans, reports
    • Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations
    • Participate in staff meetings and professional development
    • Support overall program operations as needed

    Qualifications:

    Candidates must meet Pennsylvania Child Care Licensing requirements.

    Qualified applicants may possess:

    • A high school diploma or GED with qualifying child care experience
    • Coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field
    • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience that meets state requirements

    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
    • Ability to exercise sound judgement, remain flexible and professional
    • Ability to lift up items weighing up to 60 pounds
