The primary goal of this role is to build the capacity, confidence, and teaching skills of assistant educators to ensure high-quality care and education across all classrooms. This position bridges the gap between administration and the classroom, offering hands-on guidance in curriculum implementation, classroom management, and professional growth. Key Responsibilities:Instructional Coaching & Mentorship: Provide side-by-side coaching, modeling, and mentoring to assistant teachers regarding best practices in early childhood education.Skill Development: Guide assistant teachers in developing strong classroom management skills, positive guidance techniques, and effective student engagement strategies.Curriculum Support: Assist staff in understanding, planning, and effectively delivering the approved early childhood curriculum and lesson plans.Observations & Feedback: Facilitate reflective feedback sessions to help assistant teachers track their professional growth.Onboarding & Training: Help design and facilitate targeted orientation, onboarding, and ongoing professional development workshops for incoming and current assistant teaching staff.Environment Design: Collaborate with classroom teams to design safe, inclusive, stimulating, and age-appropriate learning environments.Compliance Advocacy: Ensure assistant teachers understand and maintain licensing standards, health and safety regulations, and program policies. Required Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education/Elementary EducationExperience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of successful lead teaching experience in an early childhood setting (PK-2), with demonstrated experience supporting or mentoring peer educators.Skills: Strong knowledge of child development milestones, curriculum models, and positive behavior intervention strategies. Excellent interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills.
