Position Summary Unity Health Care is seeking an Early Childhood Development Clinician to provide integrated behavioral health services within pediatric primary care through the Healthy Steps model. This role supports children ages birth to three and their caregivers through developmental screening, brief intervention, caregiver support, and care coordination.
Key Responsibilities • Conduct psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations • Develop and implement treatment plans and brief interventions • Provide universal developmental screening • Support caregivers with attachment, self-regulation, and parenting guidance • Participate in team-based well-child visits • Collaborate with pediatric providers and care teams • Coordinate referrals and community resources • Maintain EMR documentation and Healthy Steps fidelity metrics • Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field DC license or license-eligible (LICSW, LGSW, LPC, LGPC, PhD) 1-3 years of experience with infants, young children, and families preferred Experience in early childhood development and/or infant mental health preferred Experience serving underserved communities preferred
