    EARLY CHILDHOOD & LOWER SCHOOL TEACHING ASSISTANTS

    Position type: Full time exempt

    Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. unless otherwise specified

    Reports to: Head of Early Childhood, EC assistants, Head of Lower School, LS assistants

    Position Summary Sycamore School is currently seeking teaching assistants for the 2026-2027 school year in our Early Childhood Division (PreK) and in our Lower School Division (Grades 3 and 4). In these positions, you will be expected to support your lead teacher and assist your fellow colleagues in creating an engaging learning environment for our gifted learners.

    As a teaching assistant, your responsibilities will include:

    • Instruction with small groups • Assisting lead teacher with grading, copying, and record keeping • Student supervision during special area classes, recess, and lunch • Attending and supervising field trips • Teaching in the event of absence of the lead teacher
