    EAF / Melt Shop Process Engineer
    Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Office) (project-based travel in US required)

    Are you the go-to expert for tap-to-tap optimization, yield improvement, or electrode regulation? We’re looking for a hands-on Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) professional to support major steel projects across North America.

    As a subject-matter expert, you’ll partner with mill teams to improve furnace performance — optimizing charge mix, energy input, and slag/refractory practice while supporting upgrades, startups, and modernization projects.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Analyze and optimize EAF process performance (energy input, tap-to-tap time, yield, etc.)
    • Advise on best practices for charge mix, scrap optimization, and oxygen/burner injection
    • Support upgrades, commissioning, and feasibility studies for new EAF installations
    • Collaborate with plant operations teams to solve production challenges and improve uptime
    • Provide technical input on refractory, slag, and electrode management
    • Support digital modeling, data analysis, and simulation projects as needed

    Key Qualifications
    • 5+ years in EAF operations, process engineering, and/or metallurgical roles
    • Strong hands-on experience with EAF optimization and process improvement
    • Exposure to commissioning, upgrades, or EPCM consulting preferred
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work client-facing
