Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Manage and coordinate tasks with an offshore development team to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Perform data modeling, data transformation, and data visualization tasks to create insightful and actionable BI reports.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of data in reports and dashboards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and offshore team members.
- Stay updated with the latest BI trends, tools, and best practices.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with hands-on expertise in creating and managing BI reports and dashboards.
- Strong experience in leading and coordinating offshore teams.
- Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and other BI tools.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and team members.
- Ability to commute to the NiSource office in downtown Columbus 2 to 3 days a week.
- Experience in the utilities or energy sector.
- Familiarity with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView.
- Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
