I'm currently representing a highly respected specialty insurance organization seeking an experienced Excess & Surplus Production Underwriter to join their growing team.

This opportunity is ideal for a producer-minded underwriter who enjoys developing broker relationships, underwriting complex risks, and building a profitable book of business within the E&S marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Underwrite and price new and renewal E&S Property & Casualty business

Develop and maintain relationships with wholesale brokers and producers

Analyze complex risks and determine pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions

Drive profitable new business production within an assigned territory

Manage and grow an existing book while maintaining underwriting profitability

Collaborate with underwriting, reinsurance, and support teams to deliver solutions

Desired Background: 5+ years of Commercial P&C underwriting experience

Must have Excess Casualty underwriting experience

E&S underwriting experience preferred

Carrier, MGA, or wholesale underwriting background welcomed

Strong production mindset and broker development experience

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills

CPCU, ASLI, or similar designations are a plus
