Description of Job

As an E&D Scaffold Builder at Brock, you'll use your skills to lead a 2-3 man crew to set up and dismantle scaffold, swing stage, or mast climber to provide customers access to specific portions of a building. An E&D Builder is required to work as a member of both the erection/dismantling and ground crew. An E&D Builder will build and dismantle under the guidance of an E&D Operations Supervisor and in accordance with company policies, manufacturer's guidelines, and Osha standards. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Some weekend work will be required. Essential Duties

• Lead a team to erect, dismantle, and move scaffold, swings stages, and mast climbers.
• Set scaffold base and anchors, install cross braces, guardrails, toe boards, verticals, horizontals, mast sections, swing material using various hand and portable power tools including and not limited to banding equipment, hammers, ratchets, power drills, and hammer drills.
• Mobilize scaffold/swing/mast climber from ground to erect location and vice versa for dismantle of builds.
• Assist drivers with loading and off-loading of material
• Adhere to safe work practices and procedures so that the job site and/or equipment yard/facilities is free of potential hazards
• Ability to record inventory of equipment on delivery and pick up
• Maintain clean housekeeping on projects and at branch
• Use of fall protection in accordance to Osha regulations
• Recognize safety concerns; work in a safe manner
• Communicate safety concerns with supervisor

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years scaffold builder

Other Skills Required

• A· Active applicable state class driver's license
• Basic knowledge of tools
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams

Working Conditions

• Activities requiring handling and grasping with the hands when performing repairs or maintenance of equipment by utilizing hand tools, power tools, air tools, nuts, bolts, electronic controls, and other small parts.
• Occasional use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal on equipment to test operation
• Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and seldom lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Exposure to bright light, extreme temperature, loud noise, dust, gas, or fumes
• Work in unprotected weather elements
• Ability to wear a respirator and/or hearing protection as required
• Ability to bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 4 hours per day
• Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day

Physical Demands (When Applicable)

• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and seldom lifting up to 75 lbs.
