Home - AVB Marketing

We are seeking a results-driven E-Commerce Strategist to help BrandSource member dealers maximize their online sales potential. This role serves as the primary e-commerce expert for independent retailers, providing strategic direction and hands-on support to improve website performance, merchandising, promotional effectiveness, and the overall online shopping experience. The successful candidate will leverage industry best practices and data-driven insights to help members increase traffic, improve conversions, and drive sustainable revenue growth.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Partner with BrandSource member dealers to build and continuously improve their e-commerce strategy, serving as their primary advisor for online selling best practices
• Conduct structured website audits against AVB’s Path to 30 Playbook standards and deliver clear, prioritized recommendations that dealers can act on immediately
• Guide dealers through payment gateway setup and activation, ensuring checkout is fully functional, secure, and friction-free for online shoppers
• Coach members on product flagging, sorting, and display strategies that surface the right products to shoppers and drive higher conversion rates
• Evaluate the end-to-end customer order flow on dealer websites and recommend improvements that reduce drop-off and simplify the path to purchase
• Coach members on promotional cadence, competitive pricing, and offer visibility — ensuring their site reflects strategies that attract shoppers and drive online sales

Remote Work/Travel:  This position will work remotely from a home address and subject to AVB’s Remote Work policies and procedures which are then in effect.  In addition, from time to time, this position will be required to engage in travel, including travel to attend AVB’s Annual All-Employee Meeting as well as other travel obligations which will be required of the position such as meetings with members, attendance at conventions and shows and other events where you will represent AVB.  (Any requests for accommodations to required travel (including medical) should be addressed with Human Resources.  

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of e-commerce merchandising principles, including product data, attributes, and how catalog structure impacts the shopper experience
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Magento experience preferred); ability to quickly learn proprietary tools and systems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Extremely member-focused; positive, professional attitude.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in e-commerce merchandising, retail strategy, or digital marketing — experience in appliances, furniture, or home goods is a strong plus
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (Magento preferred), project management tools (Jira, Confluence or similar), and CRM systems (Salesforce); proficiency in Microsoft Excel required 

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
