PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Dyslexia Program Manager provides district-level guidance, coordination, and support for the district's dyslexia
program. The position supports consistent implementation of dyslexia identification, Coding, instructional programming,
documentation, and progress monitoring across all campuses.
The Dyslexia Program Manager serves as a resource to dyslexia teachers, intervention staff, and other personnel
responsible for supporting students with dyslexia. The position provides technical assistance, professional learning support,
program guidance, and support with the implementation of district procedures and applicable Texas requirements.
This is a part-time professional position focused on program coordination, staff support, and quality implementation of
dyslexia services. The position does not have primary responsibility for supervising campus personnel or providing direct
dyslexia instruction as a primary assignment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid Texas educator certification appropriate to the position.
Demonstrated experience working with students with dyslexia and/or in dyslexia intervention.
Knowledge of current Texas dyslexia requirements and instructional guidance.
Experience providing coaching, or technical assistance preferred.
Experience with district-level or campus-level program implementation preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong knowledge of dyslexia characteristics, identification, intervention, and instructional practices.
Knowledge of Texas dyslexia requirements and guidance.
Understanding of the relationship among dyslexia services, MTSS, general education, and special education.
Knowledge of evidence-based literacy and dyslexia intervention practices.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to facilitate professional learning and provide effective coaching.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze program data and identify areas for improvement.
Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities within a part-time schedule.

Performance Expectations
The Dyslexia Program Manager will be evaluated based on the ability to:
- Provide effective district-level support for dyslexia programming.
- Promote consistent implementation of dyslexia services across campuses.
- Provide timely and accurate technical assistance to campus personnel
- Support staff in implementing evidence-based dyslexia practices.
- Identify program needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Support compliance with applicable Texas dyslexia requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with campus and district personnel.
- Use available data to inform program improvement.
- Provide responsive, professional, and knowledgeable support within the scope of a part-time assignment
Core Purpose of the Position
The Dyslexia Program Manager provides district-level expertise and coordination to ensure that students with
dyslexia receive consistent, high-quality, and appropriately implemented services across the district. The position
strengthens campus capacity through coaching, consultation, program guidance, and continuous improvement
while supporting alignment with Texas requirements and district expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dyslexia Program Coordination
Provide district-level coordination and support for the district's dyslexia program.
Support consistent implementation of district dyslexia procedures across campuses.
Develop and maintain resources, guidance, and procedures related to dyslexia identification, intervention, coding,
and services.
Serve as a district resource for questions related to dyslexia services and programming.
Assist with the development and refinement of district dyslexia systems and processes.
Collaborate with Special Services Team to support coordinated services for students with dyslexia.
Campus and Staff Support
Provide technical assistance and consultation to campus staff regarding dyslexia services.
Support dyslexia teachers and other intervention personnel in implementing appropriate instructional practices.
Provide coaching and problem-solving support when campuses encounter challenges related to dyslexia
programming.
Assist campuses in understanding the relationship between dyslexia intervention, MTSS, special education, and
classroom instruction.

Support consistent implementation of student accommodations and instructional recommendations, as
appropriate.
Visit campuses as needed to provide program support, consultation, and coaching
Program Quality and Implementation
Review implementation of district dyslexia procedures and provide feedback to campuses.
Review program documentation and provide guidance regarding areas requiring correction or improvement.
Assist with identifying inconsistencies in dyslexia programming across campuses.
Provide recommendations to Special Services leadership regarding program improvement.
Support the development of standardized practices and resources to improve consistency across the district
Student Support and Consultation
Provide consultation regarding individual student dyslexia needs when requested by campus personnel.
Assist teams in understanding appropriate intervention and instructional considerations for students with dyslexia.
Collaborate with appropriate personnel regarding students receiving dyslexia intervention and/or special
education services.
Provide guidance regarding the appropriate coordination of dyslexia services with other instructional and
intervention supports
Data and Program Monitoring
Assist in reviewing dyslexia program data to identify trends, needs, and areas for improvement.
Support the collection and review of information related to student participation, intervention, and progress.
Identify campuses or programs that may require additional support based on available data.
Provide periodic updates and recommendations to Special Services leadership.
Assist with the development of program reports and presentations as requested
Compliance and Documentation
Support district compliance with applicable Texas requirements related to dyslexia identification, intervention, and
services.
Assist in maintaining district dyslexia procedures and documentation.
Assist with preparation for internal reviews, monitoring activities, and requests for information related to dyslexia
services.
Communicate changes in state guidance or requirements to appropriate district personnel.
Escalate significant compliance concerns to the Director of Special Services or designee
Collaboration
Collaborate with Special Services leadership team, dyslexia teachers, counselors, MTSS teams, assessment
personnel, and other district departments.
Participate in district and campus meetings related to dyslexia programming as assigned.
Serve as a liaison between district leadership and campus personnel regarding dyslexia programming
Scope of Responsibility

dyslexia program
The position is not primarily responsible for:

Supervising dyslexia teachers;
Conducting formal evaluations;
Making special education eligibility determinations;
Managing special education caseloads;
Serving as the primary campus case manager;
Providing full-time direct dyslexia instruction; or
Assuming the responsibilities of the Director of Special Services
The position provides expertise, coordination, consultation, coaching, and program support while responsibility for daily
implementation remains with campus personnel and appropriate district leadership
