General Description and Classification Standards:
Provides direct supervision to staff to ensure safe and continuous operation. Duties may include, but are not limited to: supervising the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems; planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of subordinates to ensure conformance with established regulations, policies, and procedures.
Supervision Received:
Works under very general supervision. May work independently or with other skilled or semi-skilled workers with responsibility for completion of assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience -
Licensures and Certifications - Depending on area of assignment licensures and certifications may include: State of Georgia Driver''s License (CDL), Electrical Contractors License, Aircraft Movement Area (AMA) License, Water Distribution License, Confined Spaces License, Herbicide and Insecticide Certification, Journeyman Certification, etc.
Preferred Requirements -
Completion of Technical or Vocational course of study in the appropriate area and five (5) years of experience in maintenance, construction, or related experience of which two (2) years of experience is in a supervisory position.
Work Environment:
Required physical, lifting, and sensory capabilities are requirements to perform the job successfully. Typical environmental conditions associated with the job.
Lifting Requirements:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Very heavy work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
