    DVM Surgeon Veterinarian– Wasilla, AK

     

    A growing veterinary hospital is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to help develop and lead surgical services within a collaborative and patient-focused practice. This role offers the opportunity to perform advanced surgical procedures while helping expand surgical care in an underserved region and working alongside an experienced veterinary team.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Perform advanced surgical procedures for companion animal patients

    • Diagnose surgical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans

    • Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care

    • Collaborate with veterinarians and clinical staff to provide comprehensive patient treatment

    • Maintain accurate medical records and surgical documentation

    • Support the development and growth of surgical services within the hospital

    Qualifications

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university

    • Board-certified surgeon or residency-trained veterinarian (surgery)

    • Strong clinical and surgical skills in small animal medicine

    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

    • Commitment to high-quality patient care
