About the Role
We're hiring a Dump Truck Driver to safely transport materials such as asphalt, gravel, and aggregate from production facilities to jobsites. This role is essential to supporting construction operations by ensuring materials are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a modern fleet, stay active throughout the day, and be a key part of a team that helps build roads, bridges, and communities across the region while enjoying the benefit of being home daily.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a dump truck to transport asphalt, gravel, aggregate, and other materials
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Utilize company-approved fleet applications to receive dispatches, communicate with the logistics team, and track deliveries
- Complete electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
- Load and unload materials using the truck's hydraulic system
- Use hand tools to clean truck beds when necessary
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of assigned equipment
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, customers, and team members
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely access and navigate trucks and jobsites
- Ability to safely climb and descend ladders
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outside normal business hours as operational needs require
- Ability to work in varying weather and jobsite conditions
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Class B CDL with manual transmission endorsement required
- Class A CDL preferred
- Current, valid DOT physical
- Clean driving record
- Familiarity with the safe operation of construction equipment
- Knowledge of USDOT and FMCSA safety regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Good judgment and attention to safety
- Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as business needs require
- Previous dump truck, construction, or commercial driving experience preferred
