    Description

    Duke Health is seeking a BC/BE Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician to join our growing Pulmonary & Critical Care program at Duke Health Lake Norman.     Opportunity Highlights

    Practice Model

    • Approximately 1 week of inpatient service every 4 weeks
    • ICU and inpatient pulmonary consult coverages during inpatient weeks
    • Approximately four half-day clinic sessions weekly on outpatient weeks
    • Mix of in-person and virtual care clinics with dedicated administrative time
    • Established overnight tele-ICU support
    • Opportunity to supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers

    Clinical Growth Opportunities

    Candidates with interest or expertise in any of the following are encouraged to apply:

    • Sleep Medicine
    • Lung cancer screening
    • Advanced bronchoscopy and pulmonary procedures
    • Point-of-care ultrasound
    • Program development and service line growth

    Duke Health is actively investing in the expansion of pulmonary and sleep medicine services, including plans for an on-site sleep laboratory and expanded pulmonary capabilities.

    Candidate Qualifications

    Required:

    • MD or DO
    • BC/BE in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine
    • Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure

    Preferred:

    • Interest in advanced pulmonary procedures
    • Interest in building new programs and clinical services
    • New graduates welcome to apply
