Description

You're tired of jobs where rushed installs become your problem.

You want to do clean ductwork, fix airflow the right way, and leave knowing it was done right the first time.

You also want a place that will actually help you grow instead of just handing you a uniform and hoping for the best.

If you're serious about your craft, this could feel different.

Who We Are

Waldrop Plumbing – Heating – Air hires for skill, professionalism, and character. We've been serving Greenville and Spartanburg Counties for more than 50 years, and our team voted us a Great Place To Work.

As a Duct & Air Flow Technician here, you'll join a company that believes in doing the right thing even if it hurts. That means real training, strong standards, and a team that cares about customers, employees, and the company in that order.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day is hands-on and fast-moving. You'll remove and replace ductwork, handle duct modifications in the field, and solve airflow and static pressure issues that make systems work the way they should.

You'll walk into customers' homes, explain the installation process in plain language, and earn trust by being calm, sharp, and professional. You'll be expected to leave the space cleaner and better than you found it.

This role matters because the details matter. Success means jobs completed as written, up to code, and according to manufacturer recommendations 100% of the time, with recall under 5%, billable hour efficiency above 90%, documented photos, and a Five-Star Experience that earns at least 3 five-star reviews per week.

The Hiring Process

We have a rigorous process for hiring, but move FAST for the right person. You could be hired in as little as 10 days! We've had lots of interest, so the first few steps are automated to make sure you can get considered quickly.

Don't worry—if you take the time to apply, we will respond to 100% of the applicants.

The process:

  1. Click apply and answer a few Who, What, When questions. (5 min)
  2. You'll be texted a link for a 10 min questionnaire that will help match you to the job (or others that might suit you!).
  3. You'll get a text for a quick 1-way video question. (5 min)
  4. We'll send you a link to get scheduled for an in-person interview.
  5. You can easily be in for an interview within a couple days from right now.

What You'll Earn

This role pays $18-$28 per hour for 40-45 hours per week. You'll also get full benefits and a 401K match. If you're looking for a place to sharpen your skills and keep growing, that's a real part of the path here.

Who We're Looking For

You'll likely thrive here if you're competitive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and serious about getting better. You know how to work fast without getting sloppy. You can talk to customers like a human being and keep your cool under pressure.
