Sales Coordinator Hotel Sales & Events

Midas Hospitality is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Sales Coordinator to support our hotel Sales team. This role plays an important part in driving hotel revenue by supporting sales initiatives, maintaining client relationships, coordinating group and meeting business, and ensuring seamless communication between guests, clients, and hotel departments.

What You Will Be Doing:
As a Sales Coordinator, you will provide administrative and operational support to the hotel Sales department while assisting with the successful execution of sales strategies and client events.
Responsibilities include:
Support the Director of Sales with daily sales operations, account management activities, and strategic initiatives. Manage incoming sales inquiries, qualify leads, and direct opportunities to the appropriate sales team members. Utilize hotel sales systems such as Meeting Broker, Lanyon, CRM platforms, and other lead management tools to respond to and track business opportunities within established timelines. Assist with maintaining Local Negotiated Rate (LNR) and National Corporate account information and client relationships. Coordinate group room blocks, including reservations, contracts, cutoff dates, billing details, rooming lists, and communication with hotel departments. Assist with the planning and coordination of meetings, conferences, weddings, social events, and SMERF groups. Conduct prospecting and telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities within targeted market segments. Maintain accurate sales records, reports, account histories, calendars, databases, and client files. Assist with the creation and execution of sales campaigns, marketing initiatives, and quarterly action plans. Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports. Communicate group details, special requests, and event information with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and other hotel departments. Participate in sales blitzes, networking events, community organizations, and professional associations to promote the hotel and generate new business. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up. Support additional projects, task forces, and responsibilities as assigned by hotel leadership.
What You Bring:
Previous experience in hotel sales, hospitality, event coordination, customer service, or administrative support preferred. Associate or bachelors degree in hospitality management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered. Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills. Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to negotiate, influence, and communicate effectively with clients, guests, and internal teams. Experience with Microsoft Office programs, CRM systems, hotel sales systems, or Property Management Systems (PMS) preferred. Ability to analyze information, maintain accurate records, and support revenue-generating initiatives. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Ability to travel locally for client meetings, sales calls, and networking events. A valid drivers license and reliable transportation may be required.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires frequent sitting, computer use, standing, walking, and occasional bending, reaching, and lifting. Candidates should be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is primarily performed indoors in a professional hotel environment with occasional local travel for sales activities and events.
