This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill full-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide direct student recruiting, student assessing, student mentoring, case management and support to participating students of the dual-enrollment ISD programs. Strong emphasis on student advocacy and engagement. Responsible for the coordination and implementation of outreach and recruitment strategies for the integrated dual enrollment program.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
One (1) year related project coordination and management experience.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
Proficient computer and report writing skills, organizational skills, and personal initiative.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs.
Ability to exhibit good organizational and management skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prepare, monitor, and maintain program data and compose narrative and fiscal reports.
Ability to conduct student oriented workshop.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and awareness of technical and occupational programs of study at DMC and ability to interpret the college's core curriculum catalog.
Experience with student recruiting and advising, workforce placement, or coordinating academic and social services.
Understanding of the College's general admission requirement; financial aid requirements; and academic support services.
Knowledge of dual enrollment programs and higher education admissions and placement testing.
Student outreach experience.
Knowledge of retention and intervention strategies.

Extensive student guidance, mentoring and advising to include assisting students with academic mapping and planning as well as career research.

Contributes to program success by developing, implementing and coordinating activities to support students in various educational programs and at-risk populations to transition to on-campus career and academic pathways.

Collaborate effectively with campus counselors and staff to facilitate, attend and coordinate enrollment and FAFSA workshops to ensure student success. Will assist Assist students and their families with completion of necessary paperwork in preparation for college transfer and transfer of credits.
Job Duty
Travel between campuses and local ISD's to work with students/instructors. Flexibility in working evenings to accommodate student's schedules.
