Essential Responsibilities and Oversight
• Enable transformation of the GEV technology landscape in support of the solutions requested by the strategic managed service provider to enable efficient operations, execution, and reporting
• Evaluate AI governance use cases across the core areas raised by the AI foundry and the GE BUs for alignment to expected use cases and controls
• Ensure the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures
• Oversee the development and maintenance of the organization's risk management framework
• Make sure risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies are executed
• Review and analyze risk reports and data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective governance practices and risk management strategies
• Provide training and guidance to employees on governance and risk management matters
• Supporting internal and external audits and risk assessments, where needed
• Guarantee up-to-date knowledge of governance practices and risk management principles
• Make certain that reports for management on governance and risk management issues and risk assessments are correct
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in
Information Security or 5 years of Information Security experienced with a Masters degree
• 5+ years’ experience in Cyber Security
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST 800‑53, the NIST Privacy Framework, CSA, ISO 27001, ITIL v3, COBIT, and NIST CSF 2.0
Desired Characteristics
• Vernova segments/business experience is highly desired
• IT Cybersecurity, Risk Management and/or Professional certifications (CISM, CISSP, CISA, etc.) are preferred
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner, anticipates
obstacles and develops plans to resolve
• Experience with GRC tools and risk-based techniques
• Working knowledge of GEV DT Governance Processes/Services (System Classification, Vernova Data Lake, UCF Assessments, etc.)
• Prior experience leading/managing Vendors (Staff Augmentation, Fully Managed Services, etc.)
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with limited direction
• Change oriented – actively defines process improvements, champions and drive change initiatives,
confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes
accordingly
