    Summary

    Our Client is seeking a commercial Drywall Estimator to join its Pre-Construction team in Palmetto, FL. If you have an eye for detail while maintaining accuracy in your work, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization.

    About Our Client

    Our Client is a growing construction company providing services across the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states through New England. The company has nearly 65 years of experience in drywall, masonry, concrete/masonry restoration, structural strengthening, building envelope restoration, doors/frames/hardware (Division 8), and specialties (Division 10).

    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Interpret plans and specifications to prepare written proposals for bids and proposals.
    2. Maintain knowledge of local material, labor, and equipment costs.
    3. Maintain an understanding of local, city, and state building codes in assigned locations.
    4. Manage and train Project Engineers and Assistant Project Estimators to support their professional growth.
    5. Continuously develop and improve knowledge of product lines, including drywall, acoustical systems, doors/frames/hardware (Division 8), and specialties (Division 10).
    Requirements:
    • On-Screen Takeoff (OST) experience or exposure
    • Detailed quantity takeoffs from construction drawings
    • Commercial drywall estimating
    • Strong blueprint/plan reading
    • Detailed material and labor pricing
    • Ability to develop estimates from project scope rather than relying primarily on unit pricing
    • Sage Estimating experience preferred, but not required

    Position Requirements

    Education and Experience:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
    2. 2 years of experience as an Assistant Estimator or 5–7 years of overall relevant experience.
