Court Name/Organization Florida Middle Pretrial Services Overview of the Position The U.S. Pretrial Services Office for the Middle District of Florida is currently accepting applications for the position of Drug & Alcohol Treatment Specialist (DATS). This position will be located in Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Ocala, Orlando, or Tampa. The DATS is responsible for matters relating to the effective supervision of defendants who require involvement in the drug treatment program, (including short term residential substance abuse treatment) and/or testing. The DATS also serves as the Contracting Officer in all matters relating to the solicitation and maintenance of treatment service contracts for the district under the direct supervision of the supervisory pretrial services officer. This position requires extensive travel throughout the district including various treatment services contract facilities. The assignment of a duty location is at the discretion of the chief pretrial services officer.
