Compensation:
Pay Range: $39.00-$40.00 Per HR

Description:
• This role involves providing support, education, and counseling in substance abuse recovery in an onsite setting in Philadelphia, PA.
• The position is contract to permanent, requiring flexibility in scheduling, including 24-hour on-call coverage.
• The specialist will work closely with participants to develop substance-free lifestyles and collaborate with staff to address co-occurring disorders.

Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Human Services/Social Sciences with 1-2 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with CAC and 2 years of experience.
• Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) preferred.
• Knowledge of support systems for substance abusers.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license for local travel.
• Flexibility for crisis intervention and emergency situations.

Qualifications:
• Experience in substance abuse counseling.
• Understanding of addiction treatment and recovery processes.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing treatment plans.
• Experience in group and individual counseling sessions.
• Ability to assess participant progress and document behaviors.
• Experience with urinalysis testing processes.
• Capability to coordinate with other agencies and service providers.
