ORGANIZATION: Milestone Centers Inc.
DEPARTMENT: Chain of Hope
POSITION: Drop-In Center Specialist
STATUS: Full Time; 37.5 hours / week
SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Monday through Friday
LOCATION: Wilkinsburg
Milestone Centers, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a nonprofit, community-based human services agency supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities:Responsible for providing support to management, peers and participants of a Behavioral Health Drop-In support center.
- Demonstrates and reflects a commitment to the mission and values of Milestone by serving others with respect, dignity and compassion.
- Serve as the primary point person of contact for drop-in callers, participants, visitors, and guests including, but not limited to, collecting attendance and identifying resource needs.
- Be supportive of volunteer initiatives assigned by supervisor.
- Responsible for assisting with food bank orders-pick-up and distribution (as needed)
- Responsible for supporting peer-related conflict resolution and for reporting crisis or conflict situations to the Assistant Director of Empowerment Programs.
- Responsible for promoting peer support, self-help and empowerment.
- Responsible for assisting with participant groups and conducting participant surveys.
- Responsible to do clerical work as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:- Preferred High School Graduate and 2 or more years’ experience in social services with a basic understanding of behavioral health issues.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
- Act 33 and 34 clearances and FBI clearance, if applicable

Citizen Care Inc. provides residential, day program, habilitation, supported employment opportunities and behavioral support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are a non-profit organization, accredited by the Council on Quality & Leadership. Citizen Care has locations throughout the West Hills and South Hills of Allegheny County.
Exceptional Adventures has more than 40 years of experience providing vacation opportunities, social events and monthly dances for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our recreational and travel programs are designed to support guests in a wide variety of activities. Organized trips include motor coach, flight, train and cruise packages which are offered year-round.
Milestone Centers supports individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania. Our Agency oversees 20 residential settings, two outpatient offices, three adult training facilities, a prevocational enterprise program, a consumer drop-in center, habilitation services, and two Health Care Quality Units in Butler and Warren, which train professionals in 18 counties. Milestone Centers has earned certification from the Sanctuary Institute for providing trauma-informed care.
The Partners For Quality Foundation conducts fundraising for all organizational services and supports. Partners For Quality Inc. receives operating funds through various sources, private gifts, grants and special events helping the agency go “above and beyond” basic needs. The Foundation’s goal is to build and strengthen PFQ’s support resources to supplement government dollars.
