    Job Summary

    Driver Recruiters are responsible for recruiting CDL-A Drivers, coordinating advertisements, maintaining applicant tracking system, screening and interviewing candidates, and verifying pre-employment safety requirements are met.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Sources drivers through referrals, cold calling, and job postings.
    • Understands current staffing needs and forecast future staffing needs.
    • Reads, reviews, and understands company standards for candidates meeting the MVR and DAC report qualifiers.
    • Interviews and analyzes information to obtain a complete application and determine qualified candidates.
    • Reviews applications to ensure candidates meet company and DOT guidelines.
    • Reviews and verifies regulated driving experience and history.
    • Interviews applicants, conduct background checks, process MVRs, process DAC Reports, and verify all DOT requirements are met.
    • Reviews all completed driver files for accuracy and thoroughness.
    • Follows up with drivers to ensure all required paperwork and documentation is provided to the Company in a timely manner.
    • Gathers personnel or safety records from other departments as needed.
    • Arranges for in-house and external orientation and travel arrangements.
    • Maintains and organizes driver files.
    • Prepares and collects necessary documentation for DOT file, personnel file, and medical file.
    • Meet hiring goals set by department.
    • Maintains ongoing communication with drivers to verify all questions and concerns are answered.
    • Maintains contact with the drivers throughout the on boarding process to insure a successful sourcing and on-boarding process.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • 1+ years recruiting experience.
    • Knowledge of DOT laws and regulations preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft products including Word and Excel
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
