    Job Description:

    JOB SUMMARY: The Driver Employment Qualifications Coordinator works with the recruiting department to process over 3,000 new hires annually with a focus on all incoming experienced driver and rehire applicants to determine eligibility for hire and on boarding / training requirements. It is important that the person in this role comes with experience in hiring CDL drivers and knowledge of DOT requirements as they are relied on as the department subject matter expert.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Auditing applications of experienced CDL drivers
    • Researching questionable criminal, driving, or employment history
    • Conducting one-on-one interviews with applicants who have verifiable driving experience
    • Processing Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR)
    • Independently determining if drivers approved for hire need additional training according to safety record

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
    • Ability to perform in a demanding, deadline-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
    • Organized with high degree of initiative and independent execution
    • Integrity and dependability
    • Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calling

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2+ years of relevant transportation experience with a sizable fleet
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions
    • Familiarity with TenStreet and/or AS/400 operating system

    Work Experience:

    • 2+ years of relevant transportation experience with a sizable fleet
