What You'll Do as a Driver Manager:

Driver Support & Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned drivers
• Develop positive, professional relationships built on trust and communication
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to help drivers achieve success
• Address driver concerns, questions, and operational challenges promptly and professionally
• Promote a positive driver experience through consistent communication and engagement
• Recognize and celebrate driver achievements and milestones

Driver Retention & Engagement

• Develop and implement strategies to improve driver satisfaction and retention
• Conduct regular check-ins with drivers to identify concerns and opportunities for improvement
• Foster a supportive and inclusive culture that encourages long-term success
• Partner with leadership to address driver feedback and implement effective solutions
• Monitor driver engagement and recommend programs that enhance morale and performance
• Support initiatives focused on driver recognition, rewards, and workplace satisfaction

Operations & Performance Management

• Monitor driver performance, attendance, and operational compliance
• Assist drivers with scheduling, route-related concerns, and daily operational needs
• Work closely with dispatch, operations, and leadership teams to ensure service excellence
• Identify performance trends and provide coaching when needed
• Help drivers understand company policies, expectations, and procedures
• Support operational goals while maintaining a driver-first mindset

Reporting & Collaboration

• Maintain accurate driver records and documentation
• Track driver performance, retention trends, and engagement metrics
• Prepare reports and updates for leadership as needed
• Collaborate with operations and management teams to support workforce stability and growth
• Contribute ideas and best practices to improve driver engagement, satisfaction, and retention
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization

Qualifications for a Driver Manager:

• Experience in transportation, driver management, operations, customer service, employee relations, human resources, leadership, or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent relationship-building and conflict-resolution abilities
