This role combines driving responsibilities with hands-on labor work, ensuring efficient transportation and support for operational activities. Key Responsibilities: Driving Duties: - Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks, vans, or specialized vehicles, to transport goods, equipment, or personnel to various locations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on company vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading materials, equipment, or supplies.
- Ensure proper handling and secure placement of items to prevent damage during transport.
- Labor Tasks: Perform general labor tasks such as assembling, disassembling, lifting, carrying, and moving materials as required by the job. This may include tasks such as construction, landscaping, or warehouse work.
- Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely delivery or transport.
- Adhere to schedules and make adjustments as needed for unforeseen delays.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving and performing labor tasks. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe operating procedures.
Documentation: - Complete and maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and any related documentation. Ensure all necessary paperwork is submitted promptly.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or delivery recipients. Address any questions or concerns in a professional manner.
Qualifications: - Experience: Previous experience as a driver and/or laborer preferred.
- Experience in a similar industry or environment is a plus. Licensing:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Additional certifications or endorsements (e.g., CDL) may be required depending on the vehicle type.
Skills: - Good driving skills, knowledge of traffic laws, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles.
- Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity for labor tasks.
- Safety: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to driving and labor tasks.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy items, perform physically demanding tasks, and work in various environmental conditions.
Additional Information: - Work Environment: This position may involve working outdoors, in varying weather conditions, and in different environments such as construction sites, warehouses, or customer locations.
