    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a reliable and experienced Company Driver to join our team. The driver will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods to and from various locations. The ideal candidate should have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a strong understanding of freight logistics.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and vans, in compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
    • Transport freight to and from designated locations, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
    • Load and unload cargo, following proper handling and safety procedures.
    • Adhere to all relevant transportation and safety regulations, including securing loads and maintaining proper documentation.
    • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues to the maintenance department.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
    • Plan and follow designated routes, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes in delivery schedules or traffic conditions.
    • Complete delivery paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Report any accidents, incidents, or delays to supervisors and follow company procedures for handling such situations.
    • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out.
     
    Requirements:
    • Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Proven experience as a company driver, preferably in the logistics industry.
    • Strong understanding of freight transportation and logistics processes.
    • Ability to handle and secure various types of cargo.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if required.
    • Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.
     
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement on CDL.
    • Forklift certification for handling warehouse operations.
    • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation management systems (TMS).
