Job Summary:
Our client, a leading food distribution company, is seeking a Driver Helper / Warehouse Associate for a full-time contract position in Grand Junction, CO. This role assists delivery drivers with unloading products and performs general warehouse duties. It is physically demanding and requires reliability and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
" Assist delivery drivers with unloading produce, food products, and merchandise at customer locations.
" Perform loading and unloading tasks using hand trucks and dollies.
" Conduct product counting and verification.
" Handle manual material handling and general labor duties.
" Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications:
" Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
" Experience in warehouse operations or distribution center environments.
" Physical ability to lift heavy items and work on your feet for extended periods.
" Dependable with a strong attendance record.
" Willingness to work early mornings and Saturdays.
Preferred Qualifications:
" Prior experience as a driver helper or in a similar role.
" Familiarity with food distribution operations.
About the Role:
This is a contract position with a duration of approximately 6 months (1,080 hours). The schedule is Monday Saturday, with start times as early as 2:00 AM until route completion. Expect 50+ hours per week, including overtime. Location: Grand Junction, CO. No travel required. Competitive rate offered.
