* * MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE**
The Driver Helper supports the delivery driver in transporting, handling, and installing furniture for customers. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and excellent customer service to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate deliveries.
Primary Responsibilities
Loading & Unloading
- Assist with loading furniture onto the truck using proper lifting techniques
- Unload items safely at customer locations
- Ensure all products are handled carefully to prevent damage
Delivery Support
- Help navigate delivery routes and communicate with the driver
- Carry furniture into homes or businesses, including up stairs or through tight spaces
- Set up furniture according to customer needs and company standards
Assembly & Installation
- Assemble furniture using basic hand tools
- Verify that items are complete, clean, and damage-free before and after assembly
Customer Interaction
- Provide friendly, professional service at each delivery
- Communicate clearly with customers about placement and setup
- Address simple questions and refer complex issues to the driver or supervisor
Safety & Maintenance
- Follow all safety rules for lifting, carrying, and tool use
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Assist with daily equipment checks as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs repeatedly
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic mechanical or assembly ability
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Schedule: 6:30am - 4pm ( depending on load, may have to come in earlier or leave later than scheduled)
